Mike Gleeson

Guitar, Banjo, Dulcimer

Chino, CA. Mike keeps the the rhythm of Innisfree fresh and unique, and has been complemented consistently on the number of rhythms he can keep for any one song.   He also plays the banjo when allowed to by the band, or in emergency situations, such as when an accordion is broken or out of tune.

(It is with deep regret and great sadness that the Innisfree Irish Band announces the passing of our dear friend and band-mate Mike Gleeson. Mike was a remarkable singer, a talented songwriter and a pretty darn good guitar player. In fact, could play just about any instrument that had strings on it. Mike was a founding member of the band, which has been going strong now for about 25 years. He had the extraordinary ability to belt out the loudest, rowdiest pub tune; and in the next breath he could sing you the sweetest Irish ballad you'd ever hear. Mike was a great talent and a wonderful friend.)
